The Epic Journey

NRFF was inaugurated on the 6th of May 1998. Since then the federation has been promoting the awareness of the game through various development programmes and hosting several international teams. Rugby in Nigeria has also enjoyed impressive patronage from primary and secondary institutions in the country.

Strategic Plan

NRFF has developed an eight year strategic plan for the continuous development of rugby in Nigeria which includes the eventual recognition of rugby as a national sport.

Senior Rugby

There are currently over 15 Senior Men’s Club in the country and Rugby is active in 10 States of the federation.
